Curiosity is a call to awaken. It is the soul's invitation to explore new thresholds and places of learning.
My curiosity has taken me on many journeys. As a young woman, I traveled by freighter from Brooklyn, New York, to Tangier, Morocco. Walking the ancient streets of the medina, the old part of the city, I could feel in my bones that I was home and stayed for two years. The kind and generous spirit of the Moroccan people changed my life forever.
While in Morocco, I spent time with a traditional healer, and a natural curiosity about alternative healing was born.
Over the last forty years, I have been a student, practitioner, and teacher of of holistic wellness.
Stories and healing are not separate. Stories awaken the heart to possibilities and purpose. We need wisdom teachings to guide us as we navigate our way in these challenging times.
Our beliefs about ourselves become the story of our life. Sometimes, the old stories no longer work, and we need new pathways and stories that reflect our values, allowing us to journey in life with awareness, integrity and love.
Two stories are on this website. “The Sacred Canoe Journey,” now published, came in answer to a prayer and asks, "Is loving-kindness a sacred path?" The second story, “The Boy with the Broken Wing,” is a dream I had after returning from Morocco. Its teaching has followed me throughout my life.
My dog Finn and I live in Charlottesville, Virginia. My daughter and her family are close by. 10,000 blessings to her for her infinite kindness and patience as she helped to format my book and create this website.
I love long walks with Finn and being in nature. The ocean is my place of healing. My love of the sea came from my mother, who was born in Australia where the heartbeat of the Pacific Ocean was always present in her life.
My father was a veteran. His experiences taught me that compassion is the path of healing for humanity.
I have a love of languages, writing, and Qi Gong and at one time studied Flamenco guitar.
Morocco remains the shore of my soul.
Thank you for visiting with me. I would love to hear from you. Tell me,
What are you curious about? What stirs your soul? What do you love?

I have so much gratitude and love for the many wise and compassionate beings who, with patience and love, have supported me in healing. Their kindness and wisdom continue to guide me in my life.
May our hearts awaken to the beauty in our lives.
May our healing be for all sentient beings.
May the wisdom teachings and teachers be blessed for their efforts.
